The Paris 2011 Cycle Show: A new perspective on cycling!

With, to this day, over 6,000 square meters and 350 brands from 23 countries, the 2011 Paris Cycle Show promises to be a remarkable event in the world of cycling.

All the main actors of the cycling world, manufacturers, importers, distributors will be there as well as all those whose activities take part in developing the use of cycles.

All our faithful exhibitors have renewed their trust in the Paris Cycle Show and many other French and international companies have decided to join them, guaranteeing the success of the 2011 edition. (Please find a list of the brands on our website www.lesalonducycle.com )

The goal of the participating brands is to show the visitors the numerous developments of their innovating products (cycles, accessories and equipment), resulting from constant creative research.

Therefore, whatever their preferences, men, women, families and children will be able to discover all the new tendencies of mobility, leisure or sports bikes.
Electrically assisted bikes, city bikes, folding bikes, racing bikes, Fixies, Mountain and trekking bikes, BMX, children’s bikes, toy bikes, will all be exhibited and so will the latest equipment and accessories.

With its trade days for professionals only, the 2011 Paris Cycle Show will also be an important business meeting point, contributing significantly to the growth of the Cycle trade and the activities of its participants.

Finally many activities (EAB tryout tracks, BMX demo and tryout tracks, forums…) will continue to enhance the 2011 Show’s dynamism.

The 2010 Cycle Market

The mobility bike continues its growth (27% of total market in 2010, 17% in 2000). In 2010, the important sales of city bikes, folding bikes and electrically assisted bikes allowed this progress to continue. There has been an impressive progression in the sales of electrically assisted bikes -nearly 40,000 units sold- which represents over 60%!

In 2010, sales in cycles, equipment and accessories have shown better resistance than other sectors, reaching a turnover of 1,280 billion euros.

With 3,031,300 cycles sold, France has become the third cycle consumer in Europe.
